关节炎
关节炎是由关节中的炎症引起的。它会导致受影响关节的疼痛和僵硬,通常随着年龄增长而加重。关节炎有两种常见类型:骨关节炎和类风湿性关节炎。
骨关节炎是最常见的关节炎类型,它发生在关节软骨——位于骨头之间的连接组织——退化时。而类风湿性关节炎则是一种自身免疫性疾病,当免疫系统攻击并破坏健康组织时,免疫系统会攻击并破坏关节内的光滑衬里(称为滑膜),导致疼痛和炎症。
由于干细胞具有再生能力,干细胞正在被探索用于治疗关节炎。人们的希望是干细胞能够再生受关节炎影响的组织。

脊髓受伤
